Objects
The list has two levels of categorization and the first, Object type, defines the type of object which is typical equipment of different kinds, products and services. The next level is called "Category" and here level two can also be defined as desired.
Object type is a selection column and must be set up in advance in the list definition. You can read more about this here https://simplisoftware.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/QM365/pages/2510684191 , but do not make changes if you are not absolutely sure that you are doing it correctly. Feel free to contact us at support and we will help you get it right.
A setting in Better allows you to decide which object types you should be able to search for in the "Object" field
The category field is flexible, and you can create as many as you want if necessary.
You can create cases and measures in Better per Object
You can also risk-evaluate objects
What is the object list used for?
Items that are registered here can be tagged to cases in Manage and then you get an overview of which equipment/services/products incidents occur.
Objects are excellently suited as a register for, for example, production equipment, a list of all the products we produce
You can enter maintenance on Objects that are of the type Equipment as Measures - it can be calibration, oil change and similar
You risk-evaluate the use of a type of machine and ensure that you take the right measures before you start using it
