Menu - Rights management
The menu structure has a standard built-in rights management from version 23.1 so that you must meet rights requirements to be able to see and view content on the various menus. There are a number of options for changing settings if you want to deviate from the standard setup. Read about this in the next article. This article explains the standard setup.

Skjule / vise funksjoner
Applies from version 23.1: Many customers have purchased a number of modules, but are not ready to use them yet. It is then possible to temporarily hide modules in order to turn them on later. It makes the menu system simpler and only shows the functions you use. Get in touch in a support case to have functions/modules hidden.
Quick access to menus
If a user has access to menus that require many clicks, they can be made available to themselves by going to the menu and clicking on the star icon:
It will then be visible in the My page > Quick access menu:
Permission groups
The menu system provides access based on two types of rights groups:
The majority of rights are based on membership in various SharePoint rights groups. You must be registered in these groups and you can read more about them here:
Rights based on data you own or are a "member" of. This could be, for example, that the user is a member of a project, or is responsible for an element in the Organization List. These are marked with a * in the list below.
The rights groups that exist and which control access to various menus are as follows:
